Privacy Policy

World Search World Wide is an offline travel word game by Zach Mackay. This policy explains how the version 1.0 app and its product, support and privacy webpages handle information.

Information on your device

The app stores gameplay progress, current puzzles and found words, coins, levels, daily history, achievements, settings and cosmetic preferences locally. No account is required. The globe uses bundled destination coordinates; it does not need your location.

Where purchases are available, the app also stores verified entitlement and transaction identifiers to deliver items, recover interrupted purchases and avoid duplicate delivery.

Diagnostics

Gameplay events and runtime errors are kept locally for troubleshooting. You can export diagnostics from App Info and choose whether to send them to support. Remote gameplay analytics are disabled in this release, and the app does not include an advertising SDK.

The iOS app uses Apple MetricKit for crash, hang and performance diagnostics and retains a limited local cache. Apple may separately process device and diagnostic information through its platform services and your sharing settings. See Apple’s privacy policy.

Backups and control

Save backups are created only when you export them. You control where those files are stored or shared. Importing a backup replaces earned progress on that installation. Paid ownership is restored through Apple, rather than imported from a backup.

Local information remains until it is overwritten, removed with the app or cleared through your device or browser storage controls. Deleting local data can permanently remove progress unless you kept a backup. Exported files must be removed separately from wherever you saved them. Device backups may be managed by your operating system and its settings.

Purchases, ads and subscriptions

The app has no ads. Optional World Wide Club monthly and annual subscriptions provide cosmetic and premium journey access while active. Optional permanent cosmetic purchases are also available where offered. Apple processes App Store payments. The app receives product, transaction and entitlement information needed to deliver or restore an item; it does not receive payment card details. Apple’s own privacy policy applies to its processing.

When you contact support

If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond and troubleshoot, and retain the correspondence as needed to resolve and follow up on the request or meet applicable obligations. You can ask us to delete support correspondence using the contact below. Please avoid including sensitive personal information.

Website hosting and external links

These webpages are hosted by GitHub Pages. GitHub records visitors’ IP addresses for security, as described in its Pages data collection documentation and privacy statement. The product page does not add analytics, advertising trackers or third-party font requests.

Opening external links contacts the provider you select, which handles connection information under its own policy. Following a link does not automatically send your local game save.

Sharing and children

We do not sell your personal information. The app has no social profiles or chat and is designed for a general audience. Core gameplay does not request personal information. If a child has sent personal information to support, a parent or guardian can contact us to request deletion.

Policy changes

We will update this page and its date when data handling changes. Any future advertising or remote analytics integration will require an updated policy and store disclosure before release.
