Carpentry Companion is operated by the app publisher ("we", "us", "our").

Summary

• The app is designed to work offline and does not require an account for core features.
• Project and job information is stored locally on your device by default.
• We do not operate an app data server, sell personal data, or include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.
• Apple services are used only when you choose Sign in with Apple, iCloud backup, or an App Store purchase.

Information Processed on Your Device

The app stores information needed for its features, including:

• jobs, project phases, tasks, spaces, notes, site-log entries, calculations, presets, materials, and reference bookmarks
• photos and files you choose to attach
• settings, favourites, recents, lesson progress, onboarding progress, and locally stored usage counters
• purchase entitlement status returned by Apple StoreKit

This information remains on your device unless you explicitly export, share, or upload a backup. Local usage counters are used only to improve the in-app experience and are not transmitted to us.

Sign in with Apple

Sign in with Apple is optional. If you use it, Apple may provide an Apple user identifier and, on first authorization, a name or relay email address. The app stores the available values locally so it can show connection status. We do not send these values to our own servers. Signing out removes the locally stored values from the app.

iCloud Backups

iCloud backup is optional and user initiated. When you choose to upload a backup, the backup may contain your jobs, project details, calculations, materials, attachments, and settings. It is stored in the app's iCloud container associated with your Apple account. We do not receive or control that backup. Apple's iCloud terms, retention, security, and account controls apply.

Purchases and Subscriptions

Purchases are processed by Apple using StoreKit. The app receives product identifiers, entitlement state, expiration information, and transaction results needed to unlock Pro features. We do not receive your payment card or banking information.

Network Requests

When online, the app may request externally hosted content images or open links you select, including support, privacy, and official reference pages. Those providers may receive normal network information such as an IP address and user-agent under their own privacy policies.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Information leaves the device only when you initiate an Apple service, export, share, link, or backup action, or when Apple processes an App Store purchase.

Retention and Control

• Local app data remains until you delete it, restore over it, or uninstall the app.
• Exported files remain wherever you choose to save or share them.
• iCloud backups remain under your Apple account and can be managed using Apple's iCloud controls.
• Sign in with Apple authorization can be managed from your Apple account settings.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app changes. The current version will be published at the Privacy Policy URL with a revised date.
